GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) Girls’ Club Who: First- through sixth-grade girls & seventh- through eighth-grade girls When: First and third Mondays of every month (September–April) from 4:15–6:15 p.m. (younger group) and 5:30–7:00 p.m. (older group) GEMS is a Girls’ Clubs, similar to Girl Scouts, designed to provide a fun and exciting environment where girls can connect with other girls their age, complete badges and other activities that develop skills, and be exposed to the good news of Jesus Christ and the opportunity to experience the joy of being loved by God. GEMS is a world-wide program that has a vision to see girls around the world actively and enthusiastically expressing love for God and others—girls equipped, motivated, and passionately engaged in living out their faith.
During a typical meeting, girls may have a Bible lesson, sing songs and learn creative movements to them, earn badges, or make crafts. Annual activities include a church sleepover, a cake decorating badge night, and some service project work. Each year, we have a theme and this year it is (to be announced soon!). Throughout the year, we hope the girls will build friendships, have lots of fun in a safe and loving environment, learn some new skills, and make some cool crafts.
