Ultimate Journey Phase 1: Unpacking Self-Deception

Have you been carrying around the gnawing pain of inner hurts, struggling with guilt or shame, or find yourself doing things you don’t want to be doing? Maybe you feel spiritually stuck and are wondering, “Is this all there is?” In Phase 1 of the Ultimate Journey, you will explore God’s truth about who you really are rather than letting your past define you. Your Phase 1 small group is a safe harbor where you can unload the baggage that has weighed you down and free you up to chart a new course for your future.

This is a three phase journey, and Heartland will be hosting Phase 1 where we will unpack self-deception and answer, "Who Am I Really?"

This 12 week experience starts Monday, September 14th, and runs through December 7th, and no more than two sessions may be missed to qualify for Phase 1 completion.  Sign-ups close September 7th.

Registration is limited, first come first serve. Those who attend Heartland will be prioritized. We will follow up to confirm your registration and group placement. At that time, there will be a minimum $50 dollar fee to obtain access to the curriculum online. If you choose to, you can purchase physical books for up to $35 more. More information will be provided on this at a later point.

Life Groups

Life Groups

CHRISTIANITY IS A TEAM SPORT.

While we often speak of our "personal" relationship with God, we must not ignore the necessity of our "corporate" relationship with God. Although that phrase may sound strange, the Bible is clear that much of what the Lord longs to give to His people only comes through the avenue of relationship with other believers. God intentionally created us to be interdependent.

THAT INTERDEPENDENCE CANNOT BE FOSTERED IN A CHURCH SERVICE.

This is why Heartland has Life Groups. The groups are patterned after the Acts 2 model used by the early church: "The believers devoted themselves to the apostle's teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer." Life Groups consist of 10-15 people who meet in a host home for food, fellowship, teaching, discussion and prayer.

Mountain Movers: A Men's Recovery Group

We all face mountains in our lives—some towering, others more just frustrating.

Regardless of their size, moving these mountains becomes much easier with God and the support of others. Mountain Movers is a support group where men come together to help each other overcome life’s challenges. This group isn’t just for those battling alcohol or drug addiction. It’s a place where men struggling with issues like codependency, fear, depression, anxiety, sexual integrity, overwork, anger, grief, loneliness, divorce, and more can find hope and healing. Mountain Movers is for any man dealing with a hurt, habit, or hang-up.

The mission of Mountain Movers is to provide a safe place where men can share their struggles, thoughts, and victories. Here, they can discuss the mountains they’ve moved in their lives and inspire hope in others facing similar battles. By joining, men will no longer have to navigate life’s challenges alone; instead, they’ll become part of a community—a brotherhood that offers support, encouragement, and accountability.

This is a Men’s Recovery Group - Join us on Thursdays at 7PM in the East View Room.

Men's Bible Study Fellowship
May

Men's Bible Study Fellowship

Men, join a weekly Bible study happening at Heartland through Bible Study Fellowship from September 4th-May 7th.

BSF believes people discover their true purpose and identity by knowing God through His Word. Men's groups offer straight talk and biblical truth built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. As a group member, you will personally study Scripture and answer questions each day. Once a week, you will meet for a small-group discussion of the lesson, hear from a teaching leader how the truths of Scripture can be applied to daily life and receive comprehensive notes on the Scripture passages you studied.

This year’s study, Exile and Return, invites you on a powerful journey through the Old Testament, where God’s people were called to build His kingdom in a foreign land. Their story is our story—we, too, are strangers in a broken world, called to build for His glory. As we explore how God equips and positions His people, we’re challenged to ask: Am I building my life for Christ? Exile and Return reminds us that our time to build is now.

Wednesday Night Classes

Wednesday Night Classes

Wednesday night Classes kicked off in September. We’ve been covering a variety of topics! Including the Theology of Suffering, the Theology of Eschatology, and more…

We will look at a solid biblical theology of this painful subject, answering questions like “was suffering God’s will or is it the result of the fall?” "What should the believers response be to pain?” Are we to cooperate with suffering or resist it? The longer one lives for Jesus, the more relevant this important subject becomes. Let’s make sure our view on this is shaped by the Bible.

We will also be looking at the subject of Eschatology, the Biblical study of end times events. We will examine why God put prophetic passages in His book and what we are to do with them.

You’ll have to wait to see what the other topics are, but one thing’s for sure… you won’t want to miss these powerful and deep times of diving into the Word of God, making sure we are firmly rooted in it and unpacking what God has to say to us!

AWANA at Heartland

Join us for AWANA as we help kids build a foundation in God's Word, where they will learn about His character and how to walk out their faith.

For more than seven decades, the Lord has used the ministry of Awana to reach kids, equip leaders and change the world with the power of His Word. The unchanging truth of the Gospel drives the vision we’ve held all these years to engage every child in every corner of the world with the hope of the Gospel. And it all starts with one.

We invite your kids (ages 3 through 5th grade) to join us from September through May as we disciple them through God's Word. You can register at the link below or sign up at the AWANA table in the atrium!

If you'd like to join our leadership team on this adventure please contact Pastor Chantelle for more details at chantelle@heartlandstaff.com.
