Fire Starters Winter Day
Fire Starters, we are excited to host a special day dedicated to community service, fun, and fellowship on January 31st! Together we will bless foster families in our area by making care baskets to be given to kids whose lives are being turned upside down as they enter foster care. We will also enjoy games, lunch, and hot cocoa together.
Event Details:
Time: January 31st, 9:45 a.m.-3 p.m.
Registration Deadline: January 30
Basket Assembly: Fire Starters’ parents are invited to help build baskets for foster families from 10:00–11:30 a.m.

21-Day Annual Corporate Fast

For over two decades, Heartland has started the year out with a 21-day corporate fast. 2026's fast will run January 5-25. This is an opportunity to consecrate our hearts and the rest of the year to the Lord.
We want to encourage each of you to ask the Lord how He would have you participate. Some will abstain from all food and drink only water, others will drink only liquid, while others may do a Daniel fast. Whatever you choose to do, we would encourage you to partake in some form or fashion. The benefits from this over the years, individually and corporately, have been immeasurable.
The Big Catch & The Sweet Reward
Men, come for a fun evening at the Heartland Church ponds, July 19th at 6:30.
If you have children or grandchildren, bring them along. Bring your own fishing gear if you want to fish, or just come to relax and enjoy a build-your-own ice cream bar with all the toppings. Whether you’re casting a line or simply craving something sweet, it’s a wonderful chance to connect and make lasting memories together.
Serve & S'Mores
Get your hands dirty for a good cause—then kick back by the fire!
The Men's Ministry is inviting the whole church to come together and serve the community with them. June 21st at 10AM they will host Serve & S’mores, a special day of volunteering at Iowa Gardening for Good, where we’ll harvest fresh produce to help stock local food pantries and feed families in need. Once the work is done, we’ll celebrate with hot dogs, roasted marshmallows, and s’mores around a bonfire. It’s a perfect mix of purpose and fun!
Serve The City 2025
Spring Serve Day – Let’s Love Our Community!
Winter is behind us, and it’s time to roll up our sleeves and serve! On Saturday, May 3, we’re coming together as a church family to bless our community by helping with yard work—clearing leaves, trimming bushes, and getting lawns ready for spring.
The young adults are leading the charge, but we need everyone to jump in! Whether you bring lawn care equipment or just a willing heart, there’s a place for you to serve.
What to Bring: Gloves, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, lawn mowers, leaf blowers—anything to help us tackle the work!
We’ll Provide: A light lunch for all volunteers & a free T-shirt (let us know your size!)
Who’s Invited? The whole church—families, small groups, anyone ready to serve!

All Church Carnival
Come one come ALL!! Invite your friends, family and neighbors.
We are having our ALL church carnival Friday, June 16th at 6pm. Come for the inflatables, food, carnival games and a chance to dunk Pastor Dave in the dunk tank!! See you then!!
Women's War Room of Intercessory Worship
Get ready to immerse yourself in two hours of worship and prayer as we minister to the Lord. We will cry out for our men to take their spiritual positions in the body of Christ, as we seek to do the same! We will repent, seek purity in our lives, and cry out for breakthrough, freedom, and awakening in our lives, our family’s lives, and the church body as a whole.
Praying as the Lord leads! Please feel free to invite any women the Lord lays on your heart, as this is not just for Heartland women.
