Scripture says we are to "earnestly pursue spiritual gifts but especially the gift of prophecy".
It goes on to explain that prophecy "comforts, exhorts, and encourages the body of Christ and is a powerful tool to build up the church". (1 Corinthians 14, my paraphrase). We have found this to be true and love the powerful gift of prophecy! Come and join us in the 4th of 4 trainings in Heartland's Personal Ministry Certification as we lay the biblical foundation for the gift of prophecy as well as learn practical insights into more effectively hearing God's voice as we minister! These courses are designed to be both informational as well as practical and will include both teaching and hands-on ministry at each session.

These classes are open to everyone to come and learn! Also, If you have had any interest in joining the Altar Ministry Team it is a requirement to take part in all four trainings. There’s a tree with ornaments inside the atrium doors - Simply choose an ornament, and on the back it will tell you what gift to get for a family. You will then bring your gifts back to the church, where they will be delivered to the family before Christmas. What an exciting opportunity to love and bless our church family!

Gifts will be distributed before Christmas, so they’ll need to be turned in by December 15th.

We will lay the foundation for understanding healing from a biblical perspective, offer practical insights on how to effectively minister healing to others, and spend time practicing what we have learned. These courses are designed to be both informational as well as practical and will include both teaching and hands-on ministry at each session.

Additional trainings in the certification will include Introduction to Personal Ministry and 5 Step Prayer Model, Ministering Emotional Healing and Deliverance, and Foundations of Personal Prophecy.

Each course can be taken standalone, but all course completion is required for the Ministry Team.

Join over 1 million believers who will engage in prayer for Israel for at least one hour a day for 21 days (May 7-28) for the increase of God’s salvation promises and plans for Jerusalem and Israel. Some will pray alone and others will pray with 2 or more (Mt. 18:20)—virtually or in-person—in their home, office, dorm, or at their church, etc.

A collaboration of several thousand ministries—including Lou Engle, Jason Hubbard, Mike Bickle—are calling 1 million believers to participate in a global solemn assembly (May 7-28)to fast in various ways and to pray for the Lord’s purposes for Israel AND to ask Him to raise up 100 million intercessors for Israel according to His promise in Isaiah 62:6 to sovereignly “set,” “appoint,” or “mark” intercessors who will remind the Lord of His promises for Jerusalem until Jesus returns. Isaiah 62:6 is an end-time promise that is now escalating across the earth.

6On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed [set, KJV] watchmen; all day and all night they will never keep silent. You [intercessors] who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves; 7And give Him no rest until He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth [at Jesus’ return]. (Isa. 62:6-7, NAS)

In the first 3 weeks of announcing this fast on March 7, over 1,000,000 are set to participate in various ways. By May 7, far more than 1 million who will engage in this 21-day fast in various ways (some will fast on water, some on vegetables, or juices, or taking one meal a day, and some will “fast media” instead of food, etc.).

January 9-29 we will be entering our 20th corporate annual fast as a church. For the past 19 years, Heartland has started the year out with a 21-day fast. It is an opportunity to consecrate our hearts and the rest of the year to the Lord.

We want to encourage each of you to ask the Lord how He would have you participate. Some will abstain from all food and drink only water, others will drink only liquid, while others may do a Daniel fast. Whatever you choose to do, we would encourage you to partake in some form or fashion. The benefits from this over the years, individually and corporately, have been immeasurable. Get excited to watch what the Lord will do as we wrap up a season of fasting!

Also, take advantage of the book of the month available in the bookstore, "God's Chosen Fast" to learn more about this important and powerful spiritual discipline.

Pastor Dave would like to encourage everyone to prayerfully consider taking part in Heartland's 20th annual 21-day Corporate Fast which will begin on January 8. This is an opportunity to start the year off by putting God first.

It is important we understand the why behind the what of fasting and prayer. If our head remains ignorant, our hearts struggle to engage. Join us as we take a look at the theological and psychological reasons behind fasting and prayer.

During January, as Heartland partakes in the annual corporate fast, Pastor Dave will be teaching on the theology of fasting and intercession during the Wednesday Family Night adult class.

Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8PM in the Main Sanctuary (starting January 4).

The primary avenue of spiritual development is also one of the primary arenas for spiritual attack. It is not a coincidence that both heaven and hell attempt to utilize this particular area of our lives in which to release and establish their kingdom. That area is personal relationships.

In this class, we're going to look at healthy relationships as both a spiritual discipline and a safeguard against the enemies' attacks. Join us and learn these crucial skills so you can become all God intended and fulfill your role in God's grand plan.

Wednesday Family Nights are kicking off September 7th and the adults will be meeting in the Main Sanctuary from 6:30-8 for this class.
